The Department of Psychiatry and De-addiction at Dr. KM Cherian Institute of Medical Sciences, in collaboration with the NSS Karayogam, Poovathoor, organized the Mental Health Awareness Session at Government L. P. School, Poovathoor. The awareness class was led by Dr. Reuben John (Consultant Psychiatrist, KMC Hospital, Chengannur) and Shri. M.K. Sreekumar (Excise Preventive Officer, Rtd. & Vimukthi - State Government Trainer). Shri. R. Mohankumar (NSS Director Board Member & Taluk Union President, Thiruvalla) and Shri. P. Prasannakumar (President, NSS Karayogam) were present at the event.

Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at Dr. K.M. Cherian Institute of Medical Sciences, Chengannur, in collaboration with NSS Karayogam, Poovathur, organised the Anti-Drug Awareness Class at Government L. P. School, Poovathur. The awareness class was led by Dr. Reuben John (Consultant Psychiatrist, KMC Hospital, Chengannur) and Shri. M. K. Sreekumar (Excise Preventive Officer (Rtd.) & Vimukthi State Government Trainer). Shri. R. Mohankumar (NSS Director Board Member & President, Thiruvalla Taluk Union) and Shri. P. Prasannakumar (President, NSS Karayogam) were present during the event.

Dr. KM Cherian Institute of Medical Sciences organised the CME - "Thyroid Symposium" by the Department of Endocrinology. The CME featured scientific sessions led by Dr. Rajeev Philip (Consultant Endocrinologist, KMC Hospital) and Dr. Amal Dev. D (Consultant Endocrinologists, KMC Hospital). The symposium provided insights into the latest advancements, diagnostic approaches and management strategies in thyroid disorders, fostering collaborative learning among healthcare professionals.

Department of Rheumatology at Dr. KM Cherian Institute of Medical Sciences, Chengannur, organized the Awareness Session on World Lupus Day, led by Dr. Rachel Oommen, Consultant Rheumatologist. A question and answer session was also conducted for patients and bystanders at the hospital, addressing queries related to arthritis and its symptoms. Exciting prizes were awarded to those who answered correctly.
