The Advanced Neuro and Spine Centre at the Neurosurgery Department of Dr. KM Cherian Institute of Medical Sciences, Chengannur, was inaugurated by Dr. Ciza Thomas, Vice Chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Alexander Koodarathil (Managing Director, Dr. KMC Hospital), who presided over the function, stated that some of the most advanced neurosurgical treatment methods in India have been established at the centre.
Dr. M. V. Pillai (Advisory Board Chairman, Oncology Centre, Dr. KMC Hospital) delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of collaboration with the higher education sector for future initiatives.
Dr. Geevarghese K. Mathew (Medical Superintendent and Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon), Dr. Vishnu P. S (Consultant Neurosurgeon), Dr. Sreenath P. R (Consultant Neurosurgeon) and Dr. Melvin K. Ninan (Consultant Neuro Anaesthetist) also addressed the gathering.
