Dept. of Respiratory Medicine at Dr. KM Cherian Institute of Medical Sciences, led by Dr. Winnie Elizabeth Jose (Consultant Pulmonologist) and Dr. Nirmal Mathew (Consultant Pulmonologist), has been honored as the Best Performing STEPS Centre (System for TB Elimination in Private Sector) for 2024 for their outstanding contributions to NTEP activities.

The award was received by Dr. Winnie Elizabeth Jose and Dr. Pooja Raghunath (Deputy Medical Superintendent) from Dr. Jamuna Varghese (District Medical Officer, Alappuzha).
