Providence College of Engineering and Dr. KM Cherian Institute of Medical Sciences, in association with the Rotary Club of Chengannur, organized the Walkathon to raise awareness on Mental Health, Road Safety and Drug Abuse.

The walkathon started from Chengannur and was flagged off by Smt. Mariamma George Mathew (Chairperson, Providence College of Engineering), concluding at KMC Hospital.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Alexander Koodarathil (Managing Director, Dr. K. M. Cherian Institute of Medical Sciences), delivered the awareness session on the anti-drug campaign. Awareness session on Road Safety was led by Dr. Vishnu P. S. (Consultant Neurosurgeon, KMC Hospital).

The valedictory ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Manish Keezhamadathil (Chairperson, Chengannur Municipality), Dr. Saju P. John (Principal, Providence College of Engineering) and Shri K. M. Mammen (Rotary Club of Chengannur) along with faculty members and students.

More than 300 students participated in the walkathon. Interactive games and activities were also conducted to enhance awareness about road safety and mental health.
